Mrs. Mary F. Kenney, age 77, of Greenville, NH formerly of Woburn and Lynn, dided April 25th at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Peter J. Kenney with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Born and raised in Lynn she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (McCarthy) Purcell.
Mrs. Kenney was a retired secretary and worked for many years for General Electric. Mostly devoted to her family, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, camping and attending different fairs with them throughout New England. She also enjoyed skiing over the years and loved to travel. She was able to visit Ireland which was a trip she had always looked forward to taking. Mrs. Kenney was a very generous person and it has been requested that memorial contributions may made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Eileen Kenney of Woburn and Maureen McLatchy and her husband John of Greenville, NH. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Kevin and Meghan McLatchy. She is predeceased by her sister the late Clare Purcell.
Funeral from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Monday, April 30th, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 thru 7. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
