Shrewsbury/Paxton--Ruth A. (Sundberg) Anderson, 87, formerly of Shrewsbury, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Her husband, Harold A. Anderson, died in 1986. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia D. and Curtis Burhoe of Paxton, Paula A. and Nick Harman of Concord, NC, and Lorene R. and Scott Farrar of Paxton; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Karen B. Anderson, predeceased her in 1998.
She was born in Brockton, daughter of Frederick and Mae Etta (Burns) Sundberg and was a graduate of Commerce High School. Ruth was a member of First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury and the Vasa Order Nordic Lodge. She was a resident of Shrewsbury for 50 years before moving to Paxton. Ruth loved sewing, cooking, and solving the Word Jumble puzzles in the daily paper. She was a wonderful friend, mom, gram, and great-gram who will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held Saturday evening, April 28, at 7:00 in First Congregational Church, 19 Church Road, Shrewsbury. Private burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery at a later date.
