Obituary

LOWELL- Margaret R. ‘Peggy’ Kelley, 85 years old, a member of a well know Lowell family, died Wednesday morning, April 25th, at her home in Lowell, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family.

She was the born in Lowell, on April 18, 1922, a daughter of the late John J. and Margaret (Ryan) Kelley, and was a graduate of St. Peter’s Grammar School and Lowell High School.

Ms. Kelley was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church and the former St. Peter’s Church, in Lowell. Before retiring, Ms. Kelley was employed for many years at Hanscom Air Force Base, in Bedford. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, cooking, and her family.

Surviving her are three sisters and a brother-in-law: Joan P. Kelley, of Lowell, with whom she made her home; Mary (Kelley) Koller, of Lowell; and Jacqueline (Kelley) Dixon, and her husband Ernest Dixon, of Chelmsford; a niece: Beverly (McGowan) McDermott, of Lowell; her godchild: Susan (Faggart) Sherman, of Florida; also many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was the sister of the late: Sally (Kelley) McGowan, Sister Joseph Margaret (Kelley), Francis J. Kelley, and Allison (Kelley) Faggart.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass to be offered on Friday, April 27th, at 9 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
