Obituary

Max Greenberg, 72 of Medway, died, Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Constance (Emery) Greenberg to whom he married in 1956.

Born in Boston on June 15, 1934, he was a son of the late Barney and Rebecca (Cover) Greenberg. Mr. Greenberg was a resident of Medway for the past 46 years and formerly resided in Dorchester.

He graduated from the former Boston English High School and also Boston University with a degree in teaching. Retiring in 1988, he was an industrial arts teacher at Holliston High School for over 25 years.

An accomplished artist and craftsman, Mr. Greenberg was the founder and owner of Maxcraft, where he created wooden collectables and nativities. There is currently one of his nativities displayed at the Vatican.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Robert Greenberg of Medway, Brian Greenberg of Alpharetta, GA and William Greenberg of Holliston, a daughter, Robin Emery of Worcester, a brother, Dr. Arthur Greenberg of Florida and eight grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, April 27 at 12 noon at the St. Joseph’s Parish Center, 145 Holliston St. in Medway. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Medway. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Medway High School Scholarship Fund, 88 Summer St., Medway, MA 02053.
