Mary H. (Hannan) Query,74, of Worcester died Sun. April 22.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Arthur G. Query; four children, George A. and wife Rosann Query, Thomas M. Query, Andrea M. and her husband Ira Caplan all of Worcester and Joseph C. Query of Bethel, CT; siblings Charles A. Hannan of Worcester; Elaine M. Donahue of Salisbury and Jean M. Gould of Northbridge; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Jonathan, Jennie, Andrew, Christopher, Thomas, Michael, and Mary-Elisabeth, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Richard, James, Joseph, Joan, Ann, and Irene. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Dolomont) Hannan and graduated from Commerce High School and UMASS, Amherst.
Mary retired as case manager from the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health, Bureau of Family and Community Health and had also worked as an adovcate in the Massachusetts Office for Children . She was a dedicated volunteer advocating for rights of people with physical and mental challenges. Mary was the Treasurer of Ward 5 Democratic City Committee.
