Obituary

Robert R. “Bob” Jean, 80, of Garner, NC, died April 20, 2007, at Rex Hospital in Garner. He was a native of New Hampshire and resided in North Carolina for the past five years. He served in the US Navy during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, and retired from the Navy after 30 years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer. Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked for United Technologies for a number of years in different regions of the world.

He loved to travel and was an avid golfer, which he played all over the world.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the Military Officers Association of America – Triangle Chapter.

He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Jean, in 1981.

Family members include his wife, June M. Jean of Garner, NC; three children, Roberta Kemp of Costa Rica, David Jean of California, and Barbara Bhutto of Manchester, NH; a step daughter, Carol Theberge of Groveton, NH; four grandchildren and one step grandchild; one niece and four nephews.

A funeral service was held Thursday April 26, 2007 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH
