Obituary

Michael J. Auciello, 83 of Franklin died April 19 in his home following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Rose A. (Mastro) Auciello who died in 2004.
Born in Anzano, Italy, October 3,1923 the son of the late Domenico and Theresa (Mastrangelo) Auciello and his step mother, Maria (Materazza)Auciello, Mr. Auciello came to America in 1933, living in East Boston until he moved to Franklin in 1960.
Mr. Auciello was a self-employed tile setter in the Franklin area for many years.
He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Auciello enjoyed gardening but especially he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Ann Souza of Ocala, Florida, Retired Deputy Chief of Police Savino “Sam” Michael Auciello of Manchester, NH, Theresa Mary Shea of Franklin, Maria Michele Conant of Franklin, Angela Rose Gregoire of Milford, Domenico Michael Auciello of Franklin and Deputy Sherriff Michael J. Auciello Jr. of Manchester NH.
He was the father of the late Rose Antoinette Auciello.
He was also the brother of the late Pasquale Auciello.
He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday April 24 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin(www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main St. Franklin at 8:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Church Square at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
