Catherine A. (Cochrane) Vacher of Brockton, 98 years, died on Tuesday April 17, 2007 at BayPointe Rehab. and Skilled Care Center. Wife of the late Arthur G. Vacher. She was born in Bridgewater, a daughter of the late George M. and Annie (Kelleher) Cochrane. She was a lifelong resident of Brockton. During WW II she worked at the National Fireworks Company and retired from Foot-Joy Shoe Company in Brockton. She was a member of the International Brotherhood of Shoe and Allied Craftsman. She will be remembered for her sense of humor. Mrs. Vacher enjoyed craft of tatting.
She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia E. Watkins of Naples, Fl, three grandsons, Timothy Watkins of Naples, Fl, Gerald Larsen and Paul Tranter both of Attleboro, two great granddaughters, Kelley-Ann and Shannon Tranter both of Attleboro, s sister, Marion Spillane of Brockton and many nieces and nephews
She was the late mother of Lorraine C. Tranter and sister of the late Gladys Sweeney, Edward, George, Lester, Roy, Harry and Madeline Cochrane and Mildred Thomas.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday at the Conley Funeral Home and burial followed in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
