John "Jack" Allen, 60, of Boca Raton Florida died unexpectedly on Tuesday at The Boca Raton Community Hospital. Mr. Allen was born in Methuen and graduated from Tenney High School in 1964. Mr. Allen lived in both Methuen and Weston for many years but had resided in Boca Raton for the past nine years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Boca Raton BPOE2166 where he was awarded the "Elk of the year" award as well as being the past chair person of the house committee and former trustee. Mr. Allen was also a member of The Sargent Improvement Club of Methuen. His family said he was an avid Red Sox fan and had great love for his family & friends.
Members of his family include his wife, Kathleen B. (Lamb) of Boca Raton Fl, a son and his wife, Jonathan E. and Mia (Sellis) of Delray Beach Fl and a daughter and her husband, Jennifer J Allen and Eddy Pellerin of Methuen. He was the son of the late Edward Allen and Grace (LaBelle) of Weston. He leaves behind many cherished friends from both Massachusetts and Florida that he considered to be a part of his family.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 am - 11:30 a.m at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen, MA. Burial will immediately follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
