Obituary

Mr. Johnnie Carl Gearlds, 73, of Lawrence, MA, formerly of Mudlick, KY, passed away on Tuesday, April 17th, 2007 at the Lawrence General Hospital. Mr. Gearlds was born and educated in Mudlick, KY. He later attended Rutger's University in New Jersey and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Son of the Late: Claudie Jesse and Lydia Jessie (Owens) Gearlds.

Mr. Gearlds was a Manager for the Bird & Sons Printing Company, then became Owner and Operator of the Diamond Park Taxi Company in Lawrence, MA., following that he was Supervisor for Frank C. Myers Printing Company and was a machine operator for Hurley Packaging Company until his retirement. He was a very Proud and Dedicated Veteran in the United States Army.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 21st., 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.

Burial will follow at the Saint Mary's/Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Veteran's Lot in Lawrence, MA.
