New Bedford -Rosalina E. Tavares aged 82, of Dartmouth died Tuesday April 10, 2007at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Luis Tavares. She was the mother of Maria Medeiros of S. Dartmouth, Jose Luis Tavares of Montreal, Canada, and Teresa Silva of S. Dartmouth. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 Great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tavares was the daughter of the late Jose and Teresa Medeiros. She was born in Agua de Pau, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal and lived in this area since 1979.
Mrs. Tavares’s Funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Friday at 8 A.M. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 P.M. She will be buried at St. John Cemetery.
