ALLEN, Lawrence F., Sr.- Of Cambridge, April 11th. Beloved husband for 58 years of Edith G. (Andrews). Devoted father of Lawrence F. Allen, Jr. of Cambridge and Mark S. Allen of Maine. Brother of Barbara Trant of Cambridge and the late William and Albert Allen. Lovingly survived by 3 grandchildren. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Quigley Memorial Hospital Chapel, 91 Crest Avenue, Chelsea on Friday morning, April 13th at 11 o'clock. Visitation with the family beginning at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.
At 83 years of age, Lawrence passed away at the Chelsea Soldiers Home after a brief illness. Born in Somerville and a resident of Cambridge for 59 years, Lawrence and his wife would have celebrated thier 59th wedding anniversary in June. A United states Navy Veteran of World War II, he worked for a number of years as a shipper in the electronics field.
