Brockton- Paula J. (Berry) Jackson, 55, of Brockton died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a brief illness.
Born Sept. 16, 1951, in Brockton, she was the daughter of Robert Berry of Halifax and the late Stella (Thompson) Berry.
She was a graduate of Avon High School, Class of 1969.
Ms. Jackson worked in maintenance at Bridgewater State College for over 10 years.
She had been a resident of Brockton for the past 14 years, coming from Bridgewater, where she lived for 8 years.
Ms. Jackson enjoyed her family.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her companion, Russell Wurtz of Brockton; her daughter, Kelli Jackson of Central Falls, RI; her sisters and brothers, Kathleen Berry of West Bridgewater, Michele Berry of Bridgewater, Scott Berry of Duxbury and Stephen Berry of Pinellas park, FL; and her nieces and nephews, Mitch Berry, Paige Berry, Jessica Berry, Jason Berry and Melissa Berry.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am in Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, with the Rev. Gary Bloom officiating. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-8 pm. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
