Obituary

John J. O’Brien, 66, of East Bridgewater, died April 9, 2007, at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a long illness. He was the husband of Julianna (Standrick) O’Brien.

Born and raised in Boston, he was a graduate of South Boston High School.

He had lived in Quincy for 39 years before moving to E. Bridgewater a year and a half ago.

Mr. O’Brien worked for Teradyne Inc. in Boston as a security supervisor, retiring in August of 2006, after 26 years of service.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, horseback riding, trips to Foxwoods and going on cruises.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Tammie Pierce of Middleboro, Erin Puliafico and David O’Brien, both of E. Bridgewater; brother of Claire Galizo of Stoughton, Mary Ann Fennessy of Quincy, Eileen Dyken of Weymouth, Edward O’Brien of Holland, Mass., Margaret George of Woodstock, GA, Catherine Guzman of Clarcksville, AZ, Ruth Doyle of Milton and the late Charles F. O’Brien Jr.; 5 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., E. Bridgewater, Thursday at 9:15 am, followed by a funeral Mass at St John Church, E. Bridgewater, 10 am. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Burial will be in Beaver Cemetery, E. Bridgewater.
