Sister M. Carlotta (Evelyn) Oliviero, 92, a Sister of Mercy for 71 years, died Monday, April 9, 2007, after a brief illness.
A native of Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of Pasquale and Angelamaria (Caruso) Oliviero of Boston.
Sister Carlotta held a B.S. degree in education and an M.A. in education from Mount Saint Mary College, Hooksett, N.H.
For more than 50 years Sister Carlotta was a dedicated teacher of primary grade students in New Hampshire and Massachusetts Catholic schools. She taught at St. John School in Concord; St. Joseph in Keene; Sacred Heart in Lebanon; St. Christopher in Nashua; Blessed Sacrament, St. Catherine, and St. Anthony in Manchester, all in New Hampshire. She was also a teacher at St. Mary, Star of the Sea School in East Boston, Mass. After retiring from full-time teaching, Sister Carlotta tutored students at St. Anthony and St. Patrick Schools in Manchester. When she moved to Windham in 1990, she served as an administrative assistant at Castle College in Windham and later was a volunteer at the college until1999. She also volunteered at the Warde Health Center in Windham.
Family members include many nieces and nephews. Sister Carlotta was predeceased by her brothers, Charles and Paul, and her sisters, Emilia and Nancy.
Friends may call at the Warde Health Center, 21 Searles Road, Windham, New Hampshire, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11. A prayer service will be held in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, Sisters of Mercy in Windham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford, N.H.
