Oliver DeSimone, 89 of Medford, died Sunday after a long illness in the Kindred Hospital North East, Waltham, MA.
Born in Italy, he lived in Medford for 53 years and formerly of the North End of Boston. He was the son of the late Felicia (DiBlasi) and Joseph DeSimone. Mr. DeSimone was the former Proprietor, of Burrell´s Express Inc. in Somerville for 37 years. Late U. S. Army veteran of WW II from1943 to 1946. Oliver was a member of the Medford American Legion Post 45, Knights of Columbus Boston, My Pals and the Revere Business Association.
Beloved husband of 65 years to Constance (Vadala) DeSimone. Devoted father of Dennis DeSimone and his wife JoAnn of Nashua, NH, Ronald DeSimone and his wife Nancy of Medford. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Jamie, Carolyn, Meghan, and Lauren. Brother of the late Gilda, Angelo and Rico DeSimone.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. MEDFORD, Thursday at 8 AM, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
