Jeanne M. Tucker, 90

Jeanne M. (Crowley) Tucker, 90, of Willow Crossing in Mansfield died on Monday April 9, 2007 at the Epoch Senior Health Care Center in Sharon, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard K. Tucker to whom she was wed to on November 26, 1938 and who passed away on March 5, 2005.
Born in Fort Madison, Iowa on June 25, 1916 she was a dear daughter of the late Raymond and Nelle (Crosier) Crowley and the late Frank McClurg.
She grew up in Iowa and was a 1933 graduate of Fort Madison High School. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO and was a 1937 graduate of the University of Iowa. Mrs. Tucker had taught Elementary School in Maryland and also served her family as a loving and devoted homemaker.
Jeanne was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Fort Madison and while living in Mansfield had attended the Orthodox Congregational Church. In Iowa she was a member of the Martha Circle, the Rebecca Pollard Study Club and was active in the Retied Senior Volunteers Program. In 1997, she was the Lee County winner of the “Iowa Volunteer Hall of Fame” award.
She enjoyed living at Willow Crossing in Mansfield and was actively involved in many events there. She especially enjoyed participating in the book club. Jeanne and her late husband had traveled extensively through out the world. In addition to living in Mansfield for the past 7 ½ years and in Iowa she had also resided in Baltimore, Maryland and East Hampton, Conn.
She is survived by her devoted children Michael D. Tucker of Taiwan, Katherine L. Tucker and her husband Luiz Falcon of Sharon and Robert N. Tucker of Phoenix, Arizona. Her siblings John Crowley of Creede, Colorado, William Crowley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Patricia Bacich of Modesto, California. Also survived by her cherished 3 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday April 11th at 7: 00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Iowa.
