Sun City Center, Florida—Harry A. Varjian Sr. 92 of Florida, and a former longtime Franklin Resident, died Wednesday March 28, 2007 following a long illness. He was the husband of Virginia (Towne) Varjian.
Born in Franklin, a son of the late Archie Varjian Sr. and Margaret (Gazoorian) Varjian he lived in Franklin for most of his life until moving to Florida in 1976.
Mr. Varjian graduated from college as a resisted pharmacist, but shortly after graduation, joined his brothers in the operation of the family business Varjian’s Market in downtown Franklin.
He was a life member of Excelsior Lodge AF & AM in Franklin, Fern Chapter #46 Order of Eastern Star and was an avid golfer.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 sons David Varjian and his wife Jeanne of Hopedale, Gary Varjian of Florida, 1 daughter Judith Vennell and her husband Jeffery of Michigan, 2 sisters Rose Muggeride of Watertown and Helen Katziff of Framingham, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Harry A. Varjian Jr. and the brother of the late Gregory Varjian, Archie Varjian Jr. and Mary Reilly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service Saturday May 26, 2007 at 11AM at St. John’s Episcopal Church 237 Pleasant St. Franklin. Rev. John Potter rector, will officiate. Interment will follow in the family lot in Union Street Cemetery Franklin.
