Obituary

Bartholomew C. Alessi of Stoneham passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 6, 2007 at Golden Living Center of Lexington. He was 92 years of age.

Born in Boston, Bartholomew was the loving son of the late Giuseppie Alessi and Antonia (Carbone) Alessi. Bartholomew was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed.

Bartholomew was a licensed plumber for many years. He was a proud former United States Army Veteran of World War II. He received the Liberation Ribbon for the Liberation of the Philippines Ribbon, and was also a recipient of the Bronze Star for his selfless and courageous service.

Bartholomew was the beloved husband of the late Rose (Anzaldi) Alessi. He was the dear brother of Sabastian Alessi and his wife Sophie of Medfield and the late John Alessi, Phylis Pellegrini, Connie Pooler and Nicholas Alessi. Bartholomew was the loving uncle of Domenic Zagami and his wife Lucy of Marlboro. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Bartholomew’s life will be held on Thursday at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours prior to the Mass from 8:30-9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Stoneham.
