Joseph Macaluso, age 85 of Medford, died Monday at home after a lengthy illness.Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Domenic and Santa (Saraceno) Macaluso.
Mr. Macaluso was married to the late Helen (Thorpe). He was a Superintendent of Maintenance, employed by the Middlesex County Courthouse for over 35 years, retiring in 1991.
He is survived by his son Domenic of Malden, Joseph Michael of Medford, and his daughter Evelyn Kirton of California. Loving grandfather of Michael Anthony Macaluso of Medford. Brother of Frank of Medford, Guy of Chelsea, Angelo of Virginia, Dolly Osbourne of Medford and the late Fannie Serra, Sally Leonard, Mary Marino, Peter, Jimmy, and Charlie Macaluso.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
