Robert E. English, 75, died April 3rd at his home after a lengthy bout of cancer. He was the husband of 49 years to Marilyn (Joly) English.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Ernest and Rose (Roberts) English.
Robert was a veteran of the United States Air force, during the Korean conflict. He was a meat cutter for Stop& Shop for 38 years and retired 11 years ago.
Robert enjoyed working around his house and gardening
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Marilyn (Joly) English ,3-sons Kevin and John English of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. ,Jamie English of East Bridgewater, 2 daughters Marlene Goodenough of Braintree, Sharon English of Nashua , NH .,his brother of Joseph Means of Pennsboro, WV. , his sister, Mrs. Charles Reynolds of Middleboro, his brother-in-law of Bob Joly of Marshfield, his grandchildren, Doyle and Crystal English of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Ashley and Melanie English of Raynham and Amanda Berlandi of Nashua, NH.; as well as several nieces and nephews and family friends Dennis and Nancy Sergio of Bridgewater and their family and Jane & Al Flateau of Carver. He was also the father of the late Mark, Paul and Gail English;
His Funeral will be held Tuesday April 10th at 11:00 A.M., in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater, MA .Visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9.
