Myrtle D. (Shenett) Joyce, 81, of Salem, NH died Tuesday April 3rd at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.
She worked for General Electric in Wilmington, MA for many years, retiring to care for her husband of 49 years, Norman Joyce, who predeceased her. Myrtle lived in Saugus, MA for 40 years before moving to Salem, NH, 13 years ago to be with her family.
Myrtle was a very caring person who was always helping others. She was a foster parent of thirteen children, enjoyed serving at the senior luncheons at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church and making and delivering “Sunshine Books” to nursing homes. Myrtle enjoyed singing, baking, her cat Suki and loved riding in her pontoon boot, the “Nana Myrt” on Arlington Pond.

Grandchildren: Richard and Katherine Joyce, Billy Arvidson, Heidi & her husband Matthew Garceau

Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Service will be Saturday at 9AM at the Funeral Home.
