Mr. Raymond Leveille, 79, of 5 Duguay Street, Berlin, NH passed away Tuesday April 3, 2007 peacefully at home after a long illness. He was born in St. Francois Xavier, P.Q., Canada on December 10, 1927 the son of Anesphore and Emelda (Fournier) Leveille and moved to Berlin at the age of 17. He had been self-employed for many years in the logging industry and trucking business as
owner and operator of Leveille Trucking, Inc. Most recently, he had been employed for Clermont Drouin in Gorham, NH. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, and a member of Msgr. Walsh Assembly Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He was a former member of the White Mountain Ridge Runners, a member of the local horseshoe league, a member of the cribbage league and the St. Anne bowling league. He had a passion and took great pride in his gardening. He enjoyed spending several years at his winter home in Florida.
Members of the family include his wife Helene (Roy) Leveille of Berlin, NH; 5 children Donald Leveille and his wife Donna of Shelburne, NH, Suzanne Tilden and her husband Randy of Gorham, NH, Aline Lacasse and her husband Roger of Center Ossipee, NH, Pauline Plourde and her husband Denis of Milan, NH and Henri Leveille and his wife Tina of West Milan, NH; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers Roland Leveille of Berlin, NH, Armand (Tibi) Leveille of Berlin, NH, Roger Leveille of Berlin, NH and Lucien Leveille of Val Joli, P.Q., ; 4 sisters Dorina Leveille of Windsor, P.Q., Lillian Leveille of Montreal, P.Q., Laurence (Lily) Champagne of Sherbrooke, P.Q. and Hugette Cote of St. Francois Xavier, P.Q.; aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, an infant son Raymond, a son Stephen and his sister Laurette Simoneau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
