Mary (Pacheco) Arruda. Age 90. Widow of Antone “Mayos” Arruda. Residence 500 Wilbur Ave, Somerset, Ma. formerly of 506 Cedar St., Swansea, MA. Died Monday at Clifton Rehabilitation Nursing Center. Born in Fall River, MA. Daughter of the late Joaquim B.Pacheco and the late Laura (De Farias)Pacheco.
She was a Swansea resident since 1969. She has resided in Somerset for the past 2 years. Before retiring, she was a Machine Operator at Shelbourne Shirt Co. She later was owner of “Lucky Loaf” Bakery with her husband. She was a member of the former St. Michael Church, Ocean Grove, now St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She is survived by One Son: William Arruda of Swansea, MA. Four Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. She was also Mother of the late Antone Arruda and Sister of the late Manuel Pacheco, Louis “Tuffy” Pacheco and Irene Pacheco.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home,1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA Thursday at 10:00 A.M. with a prayer service in the funeral home. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Calling hours Wednesday 5-7 P.M.
