Obituary

Vlassakis, Charles J. (Aristofanes) of Quincy, April 2, 2007.

Beloved husband of 54 years to Faye (Johns) Vlassakis of Quincy. Loving father of John Vlassakis and his wife Patricia of Abington, Paul Vlassakis and his wife Janet of Hanover and Lisa and her husband John Bonome of Hanover. Loving brother of Sophie Vlassakis of Medford, Evangela and her husband Peter Lambrinos of Sandwich and the late Aristotle and Emmanuel Vlassakis. Devoted "Papa" to Janine and Julea Vlassakis, Rachel and Leah Vlassakis and John, Jr., Scott, Eric and Michael Bonome. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 9 AM.

Funeral Service in Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common St., Braintree at 10 AM.

Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

Charlie's wife, children, and grandchildren meant the world to him. His family describes him as being devoted to his family and friends, a hardworker and having a happy-go-lucky attitude.

He also enjoyed taking part in and belonging to several organizations. Charles was a 50 year member of the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club. For 28 of those years he was the Chief Range Officer. He is also a Certified National Rifle Association rifle and pistol instructor. Mr. Vlassakis was an avid hunter enjoying his hobby in both Maine and Wyoming.

He was a 35 year member of the Masons Rural Lodge in Quincy as a 32nd Degree member.

Charlie was a part-time Special Police Officer for the Town of Hanover from 1973 to 2005.

He has been a full-time Health Inspector for the City of Quincy from 1986-1997.

Mr. Vlassakis also worked as a butcher for many years at the Elm Farm Supermarkets, Capital Supermarkets and the Farmer's Butcher Shop in Hanover.

He is a member of the George K. Menichios American Legion Post #324 in Jamaica Plain.

Charles graduted from Watertown High School in 1949.
