Silvana ‘Sally” (Feijo) Tavares. Age 86. Wife of the late Joseph F. Tavares Jr. Residence: N. Main St., formerly of Snell St. Fall River. Died Saturday in Fall River at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA.
Daughter of the late Vincent Feijo and the late Guilhermina (Medeiros) Feijo.
She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Mrs. Tavares was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Tavares was employed as a Trimmer and Examiner at Kay’s Sportswear and previously she worked for Better Dress and Gamma Leather. She was a communicant of SS. Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church.
She is survived by One Son: Ronald Tavares of Somerset. 2 Daughters: Lorraine “Lorrie” Tavares of Fall River & Irene Parandelis of Somerset. 2 Brothers: Albert Feijo of Assonet & Vincent Feijo of Fall River. Grandmother of Cheryl Angelini, Craig Tavares, & Eric Tavares and 4 Great-grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was the sister of the late Irene Gaspar, Mary Benevides, James Feijo, and Seraphim Feigo.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Wednesday at 8:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in SS. Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
