William A. “Billy” Odom, 69, of Fitzgerald, died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Sunbridge Care & Rehab in Griffin, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 A.M on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald. Gerald Ball will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Odom was born September 21, 1937 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late J.A. “Big” and Maude Odom. He was a former employee of the 7-Up, Dr. Pepper, and Canada Dry Bottling Company and was a self-employed gourmet food salesman. He was a former resident of Jonesboro and a member of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Odom is survived by his caretaker: Barbara Odom of Jonesboro; two daughters: Jeanna (Carl) Boothe of Jonesboro and Donna Savage of Warner Robins; two sons: Bill (Denise) Odom of Stockbridge and Johnny Odom of Jonesboro; nine grandsons; and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
