Clara (Puopolo) Trabucco, of Somerville and formerly of the North End, died Wednesday at the Lahey Clinic after a long illness. She was 82.
Clara was born and raised in Boston’s North End, the daughter of the late Antonio and the late Sarah (Santoro) Puopolo. She lived in Boston’s West End for a brief time before moving to Somerville some fifty years ago. Clara was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the company of her many friends. While raising her five children, she was active in the Somerville High School Mothers Club.
She was the beloved wife of Gino Trabucco. She was a devoted mother to Robert and his late wife Deborah of Somerville, Jean Crowley and her husband John of Lowell, Michael and his wife Agnes of Wakefield, Valerie Corrente and her husband Michael of Stoneham, and the late Philip Trabucco. She was a loving grandmother to Jason, Tara, Andrea, Alyssa, Alana, Gianna and a loving great-grandmother to Luciana, Kyle, Lucas, Gina and Jake. She was the dear sister of Florence Fasulo and her husband Angelo.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Saturday at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 2 - 4 and 6 – 9. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
