Obituary

Christopher James Kennedy, 55, of Winchester, died on March 27th at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Born and raised in Winchester, he was the devoted husband for 28 years of Merilyn (Mayo).

He attended Winchester schools and graduated from Winchester High School with the class of 1969. Following high school, Chris attended Bryant & Stratton College in Boston where he studied Accounting and Business. He married his dear wife in 1969.

He also continued to closely follow the Winchester High football fan, and never missed a game, and also was a Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a member of the Billerica Knights of Columbus Council #3963. He was a from custodian in the Winchester Public School System and at Middlesex Community College.

He was the beloved son of Margaret L. (Nowell) and the late Thomas E. Kennedy, Jr and the dear brother of Betty Jean Conte and her husband Richard of Billerica, Phyllis Ann Kennedy of Gloucester, Rosemary Hooper of Sharpsburg, GA, Thomas E., III and his wife Mary of Haverhill, Paul and his wife Annette of Winchester, Michael Leo and his wife Ann of Olympia, WA, Kathleen Daggett and her husband Robert of Chelmsford, Robert Brian and his wife Andrea of Winchester and the late John Richard Kennedy. He is also survived by his Godson Andrew Daggett, 23 nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St. Winchester on Sat., March 31 @ 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8PM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
