Bridgewater - John R. Zutaut, 74, of Bridgewater, died Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness.
Born Dec. 1, 1932, in Middleboro, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Ruzycki) Zutaut.
A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, he was a graduate of Bridgewater High School, Class of 1950.
Mr. Zutaut was a machinist and union steward at Carver Cotton Gin for 20 years.
He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater.
Mr. Zutaut was a member of the Beagle Club in Bridgewater and past sachem of Redmen Organization Nipaenect Tribe.
He was also a member of the and the Polish Club, where he was a past president and bar manager.
Mr. Zutaut was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening.
He was the brother of Frank J. of Carver, Bernard A. of Bridgewater, Lillian M. Roque of Dixmont, ME, and Robert E. of Lakeville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and his special Godchildren, Jannine Dawicki and Priscilla Zutaut.
His Funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Friday at 8:15 am. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9 am. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm.
