Charles Carroll Keeler died March 22, 2007 at home on Lantern Hill Road in Ledyard. He was the son of Edward Carroll Keeler, Jr. and Jane Linski Keeler.
He leaves behind his partner and companion of twenty years, Dona Rogers, also a brother Robert Keeler and family of Clarksville, VA, his sons Steven and family and Scott Keeler, and a daughter Laurie Benshoof and family.
His grandchildren are Steven Jr., Julie, Hollyann, and he will be sadly missed by Dona's children and grandchildren.
Carroll worked at Electric Boat for over 20 years and was a coach for Little League Baseball Babe Ruth League for many years. His passions were scalloping with his sons, baseball, music and genealogy. He was a member of the Society of the Cincinnati and the Genealogy Society of Conn.
His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Monday from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10am at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery.
