Emily (Mottola) O´Driscoll, of Somerville, died Tuesday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 59.
Emily was born in Italy and came to the United States when she was 9 and settled in Somerville with her late parents Frank and Jenny Mottola in the same house she has lived in ever since. A hairdresser by trade, Emily worked for 26 years at Filomena’s in Medford. Emily loved her work and the people she took care of. She was a dedicated wife mother and grandmother and had many dear friends. Emily was close with her brothers and sisters in Italy and admired the work of the Italian Home for Children.
She was the beloved wife of Michael P. O’Driscoll with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to Elizabeth O'Driscoll-Tobin and her husband Brian of Reading and Donna O'Driscoll of Malden. She was a loving grandmother to Kevin, Michael and Audrey.
Relatives and friends may visit Friday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
A Funeral Mass will be con-celebrated at St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne Street, Somerville, Saturday at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
