Obituary

Richard Anthony Victoria, of North Easton, formerly of Dedham, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday March 18, 2007. He was 64 years old. He was the beloved husband of Janet F. (Whitney) Victoria to whom he was married to for 41 years.

Born March 12, 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Anthony Victoria and Mary (DeAngelis) Victoria. Mr. Victoria attended Dedham Public Schools and Dedham High School.

Mr. Victoria was employed as a Custodial Engineer by the former Greenshoe Company in Roxbury for over twenty- five years and more recently as a member of the Facilities Management Division at Stonehill College in Easton where he has been currently employed for the last twenty years. He was also employed part – time with the maintenance department at Emmanuel College in Boston.

He attended and was a communicant of The Immaculate Conception Church in North Easton. His hobbies included playing golf, working around his house and spending time with family and friends at The Raynham Dog Track.

Besides his wife, he is also survived by his sisters, Anna Mashburn of Georgia, Dorothy Victoria of Dedham, Elizabeth Hubert of East Bridgewater and his brothers, Robert Victoria of Florida, Edward Victoria of North Carolina, Albert Victoria of Ohio and James Victoria of Mansfield. Other survivors also include, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also a brother to the late William Victoria and Charles Victoria.

His funeral will be held on Friday March 23, 2007 at 8:30 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton, followed by a mass of christian burial for the repose of his soul at 10:00 A.M. at The Immaculate Conception Church, Main Street, N. Easton. The Pastor Reverend Thomas C. Lopes officiating. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in N. Easton.

Visiting hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held on Thursday March 22, 2007 from 4 – 9 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Heart Association, New England Affiliate, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-4688 in Richard’s memory, would be appreciated.
