WORCESTER____Sophie S. (Kowalewski) Andrzejczyk, of Washburn House, 1183 Main Street, formerly of Leicester, died Sunday March 18 in Washburn House. Her husband, Stanley Andrzejczyk died in 1998. A daughter, Elaine M. Andrzejczyk died in 2006. A daughter, Barbara A. Andrzejczyk died in 2002.
She leaves a brother, Stanley C. Speer of Belchertown; a sister, Josephine S. Johnson of Worcester and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Poland, a daughter of Charles and Stella (Rowinski) Kowalewski and had lived in Leicester for many years.
Mrs. Andrzejczyk was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and the church choir.
The funeral will be held on Friday March 23 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washburn House Activity Fund, 1183 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
