Obituary

WORCESTER___Constance R. Auger, a lifelong Worcester resident and active member of Notre Dame -Saint Joseph Parish died Saturday March 17, in Autumn Village Nursing Center, 25 Oriol Drive. She was 83 years old.

She leaves two sisters, Pauline T. Savage and Therese M. Descoteau, wife of Armand Descoteau, all of Worcester; a brother, Armand V. Auger of Tewksbury, MA and nieces and nephews. Her niece, Louise Auger lived with her. Connie was predeceased by two siblings, Leo Auger and Isabelle Morin. Born June 2, 1923, Connie was the daughter of Louis and Marion (Lavalee) Auger.

Devoted to her religion, Connie was a longtime member of Notre Dame - Saint Joseph Parish, where she led the Rosary Group and the Vigil Keepers, sang in the choir and was a Eucharistic Minister. A supporter of third world charities, she belonged to L’Union St. Jean Baptiste and L’Institut Francais. She was an associate member of the Little Sisters of Franciscans of Mary.

Connie retired in 1986 as an executive secretary for the former Worcester Bus Company where she worked 31 years. She graduated from the former Ascension High School and Worcester School of Business and attended Salter Secretarial School and Our Lady of Mercy College in Portland, ME.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday March 20, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
