Marion S. Tewksbury, 90, of Dummer, NH died March 16, 2007 at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born in Derry, NH on May 12, 1916 and was raised in the Derry-Londonderry area. She had resided in Derry most of her adult life and had moved to Dummer about 15 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed in production at various shoe shops in the Derry area. Marion possessed a strong character and loved to knit and crochet. She also enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and fishing.
She is survived by a son, Frank A. Blanchard and his wife, Jean of Yellville, AR; a granddaughter, Crystal Esparza and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Arthur Blanchard in 1987 and Carl Tewksbury in 2001 and also by a son, Edward Blanchard and a daughter, Nancy Blanchard.
A calling hour was held on Wednesday, March 20th from 10 to11 AM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A funeral ceremony followed at 11 AM in the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Londonderry.
