TEWKSBURY - Millie ( D’Arrigo) Teneriello, age 81, died unexpectedly Friday morning, March
16, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, from an apparent heart attack she suffered at her home.
She was the wife of the late Peter Teneriello, who died in 1988.
She was born in Boston, on August 10, 1925, one of eight children of the late Dominick and
Angela (Sacco) D’Arrigo. She was raised in Boston’s North End, but lived in Malden the greater
part of her life. She moved to Tewksbury in 1989.
Mrs. Teneriello was described by her family as a woman who devoted her life to her children,
grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was also described as one who loved the diversion
of Bingo, at Malden Catholic High School or St. William’s in Tewksbury. She especially enjoyed
high-stakes Bingo at Foxwood, and her occasional trips to Las Vegas.
She is survived by three children; her twins, Peter Teneriello Jr and his wife Monica (McDermott)
of Methuen, Patricia Duecker and her husband E. Wayne of Tewksbury, with whom she resided,
and Carol Muller also of Tewksbury; six grandchildren, Peter Teneriello III, Scott and Brianna
Teneriello all of Methuen, Michelle Poage and her husband Mike of Las Vegas, NV, Michael
Duecker and his wife Christina, and Kelly Muller all of Tewksbury; four great grandchildren, Eric,
Julia, Cynthia, and Madison; two sisters, Ann Bessette and her husband Andrew of CA, Lena
McMahon of Middleboro; a brother, Frank D’Arrigo of FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also sister of the late Catherine Shaughnessey, Madeline Sacco, Mary D’Arrigo, and
Biagio D’Arrigo.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, March 19, in St. Willaim’s Church,
Tewksbury, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
