GLOUCESTER: Wanda L. (Quay) Hagstrom, 96, formerly of Addison Street, died Wednesday evening, March 14, 2007 in the Seacoast Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Henry C. Pinkham and Ilmari A. Hagstrom.
Born in Wakefield on April 3, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Julia (Gurska) Quay. She attended Wakefield public schools and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. Mrs. Hagstrom had been a resident of Gloucester since the 1940’s.
She enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three grandsons, Kenneth Scott, husband of Bonnie (Williams) Pinkham, Steven, husband of Sharon (Curley) Pinkham and Dana Pinkham, her daughter-in-law, Erika (Hoch) Pinkham, her former daughter-in-law, Nancy (Whitmarsh) Lafond, three stepgrandchildren, Heather, Russell and Grace, seven great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Corey, Ryan, Adam, Alicia, Amber and Kayla Pinkham, two sisters, Mary Collins and Dorothy Nickerson, her sister-in-law, Dorothy Hagstrom and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Kenneth H. Pinkham, two sisters, Stacia Abbott, Frances Worden, two brothers, John and Frederick Quay, a sister-in-law, Helmi Hagstrom and four brothers-in-law, Alfred U. Hagstrom, Theodore Abbott, Irving A. Worden and Bernard B. Pinkham.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday morning in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
