WORCESTER- Rose (Tavano) Quattrucci, 71, of Huntington Avenue, died Sunday evening at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, CT.
She leaves 3 daughters, Kim Borowy and her husband Peter of Brooklyn, CT, Rebecca Quattrucci and her companion Andre of Worcester and Susan Chaffee and her husband Gary of Spencer; 2 sons, Alfred Quattrucci and his wife Lisa of Washington and Jason Quattrucci and his wife Victoria of Rutland; 2 brothers, James and Francis Tavano both of Worcester and 2 sisters, Gloria Donohue and Victoria Kardokas both of Worcester. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, Mathew, Rose, Caitlin, Dominic, Brycen, Ashlee, Anthony, Christina and Angelina Capri and several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late Giusto and Mary (Dicosiso) Tavano.
Ms. Quattrucci worked for many years as a counselor for the Worcester Girls Club, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed puzzles, baking, science fiction movies and most of all, her grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 AM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster. Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM to Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038.
