Obituary

Alice E. (Gaudreault) Kelley, 76, wife of Bertram "Bert" E. Kelley, of 396 Fishtown Road, Mystic passed away peacefully Sunday at Lawrence & Memorial with family members at her side, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Dover, NH on April 1, 1931, she was the late daughter of Peter and Evelyn (Goodwin) Gaudreault of South Berwick, ME. On January 7, 1950 in South Berwick, ME, she was united in marriage to her husband of 57 years, Bertram E. Kelley.

Alice was a person who was very community orientated, she was a life member of the Oakdale Fire Dept. where she was in the Ladies Auxiliary and Fire Police; a Life Member of the Noank Fire Dept.; an active member of both the Montville Fire Police Association and New London County Fire Chief's Association.

She was an avid NASCAR fan, always cheering every race day for her favorite driver, the #24 driver by Jeff Gordon. She enjoyed her time with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, who they commonly referred to her as "Beema."

Surviving is her husband; two sons Michael of Preston; Peter of Oakdale; two daughters Martha Emery of Anson, ME; and Karol (Kelley) Scott of Uncasville. She also has 10 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grand Children and two loving sisters Bertha Brown of Compton, NH; Sylvia Hammond of West Bowdoin, ME.

Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Wednesday from 5-8pm. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Oakdale Fire Department on Thursday at 10am. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, So. Berwick, ME.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made in c/o Bert Kelley, 396 Fishtown Rd., Mystic CT 06355.
