Obituary

WORCESTER____Edward W. Krakowski, 88, of 119 Providence Street, formerly of Millbury Street, died Saturday March 10 in Radius Health Care. His wife, Victoria (Marcelonis) Krakowski died in 1966.

He leaves a daughter, Dorothy R. LaRose and her husband Orrin of Auburn; a son, Raymond Krakowski and his wife Diane of Worcester; a step son, Donald Marcelonis and his wife Janice of Florida; a sister, Wanda Shugrue of Worcester; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, a son of Jozef and Maryanna (Kanclerowicz) Krakowski and lived here all his life.

Mr. Krakowski opened and operated his own window washing business for several years before he retired. Previously he worked for Abbott Window Cleaning Service Co.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the Asiatic & Pacific theater. He was a member of Our Lady of Cezestochowa Church and the Polish National Alliance.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday March 14 with a service at 10:00 a.m. in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday March 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
