Johnnie Mae Appleton, age 62, of Prospect, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2007.
Johnnie May lived most of her life in Buffalo, New York, before making her life in Huntsville, Alabama. She was a strong woman, a loving mother, a very devoted to her family and friends. She went out of her way to help anyone in need. Johnnie May was very dedicated and Hard working home health aide for the last fifteen years and both her clients and co-workers adored her. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Louise Scott.
She is survived by her father Roosevelt Gilbert; her four daughters: Tina, Christine, Vickie, and Kayla; her four sons: David, Charles, Roosevelt, and James; daughter and sons-in-law: Monica, George, and Corey. Sister Appleton was also blessed with seventeen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of adopted family members and friends.
Funeral Services for Johnnie Mae Appleton will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Apostolic True Temple Church of God with Bishop Jerry Townsend Officiating. Interment will be held in the Phoenix Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery -Prospect, Tennessee. Ms. Appleton will lie in state at the church one hour prior to funeral time.
