Robert F. Vaughan, 71, died Wednesday March 7th in South Shore Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Barbara J. (Hurley) Vaughan.
Born and raised in Boston’s South End, son of the late Herbert and Mary (Griffin) Vaughan.
He had been a resident of Dorchester for forty years and worked for the State of Massachusetts as a Maintenance Supervisor for 32 years at many state hospitals. He had been a resident of Whitman for nine years.
Bob was a member of the Castle Island Association.
He is survived his daughter, Karen Mitrano, his brother and two sisters, Ronald Vaughan of Waltham, Patricia Mitchell of Rockland and Gayle Pino of Revere, his granddaughter Marissa Vaughan of Quincy, many nieces and nephews; also 2 step-grandchildren, his pet dog Tasha. He was also the father of the late Brenda and Deborah Vaughan.
Funeral for Robert as well as his daughter Brenda Vaughan will be held from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, Tuesday March 13th at 9:15 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Ghost Church at 10:00 A.M.
