Obituary

Mrs. Rose M. Rubino, age 67, of Stoneham formerly of Somerville died March 5th at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife for 48 years of Michele Rubino. Born in Cambridge she was the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Olivia O. (Orff) McNeill.

Mrs. Rubino, known as Rosie to her family and friends was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband over the years and the attending Bingo with friends.

In addition to her parents, Rosie is predeceased by her brother John McNeill, and sisters, Beatrice Mello, Marie Normile, and Evelyn Dryden. She is survived by her children, Peter Rubino and his wife Linda of Canton, Ann C. Dow and her husband David of Beverly, Margaret O. Rubin of Beverly and special niece Carrie McNeill of Beverly. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Peter, Joseph and Maria Rubino, Stephen, Jeffrey and Mathew Dow, Leyah and McKenzie Williams. She is further survived by her sisters, Myrtle Stuart, Margaret DiMuzio, Helen Stewart, Jean Holbrook, and brothers Jesse, William and Robert McNeill and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Rosie’s memory to the 5P- Society, P.O. Box 268, Lakewood, CA 90714-0268.
