Mary J. Elliot, 87, A resident of Newburyport died at the Port Health Care Center in Newburyport on Monday, March 5th, 2007.
She was born and eduacted in Lawrence, MA. She was a 1936 graduate of St. Patrick High School in Lawrence, MA. nad she received her Bachelors Degree in Education, Class of 1940. She worked a life long career in the Lawrence Public Schools as an English Teacher until her retirement in 1980. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, swimming, and the beach. She is survived by many cousins.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 8th, 2007 at 10:30AM in St. Michael Church in North Andover, MA. and a burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
