Obituary

Edward A. Arenda, 85 of Mansfield and formerly of Walpole, died suddenly March 5 in Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the husband of the late Alma T. (Anderson) Arenda who died last July.
Born in Boston December 24, 1921, the son of the late John and Rose (Swiechowicz) Arenda, Mr. Arenda had lived in Roslindale for many years before moving to Walpole where he lived for 15 years prior to moving to Mansfield 7 years ago.
Mr. Arenda had been the owner of the Arenda Body Shop in Hyde Park for 40 years before retiring.
Mr. Arenda served in the Coast Guard during World War II.
He was a life member of the Dorchester Yacht Club and loved boating and gardening.
He is survived by his son, Edward J. Arenda of Walpole and his daughter, Linda M. Murphy of Braintree.
He is also survived by his sister, Frances Collins of Harwichport and his grandchildren; Danielle, Christopher and Michael Arenda.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9 in the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St. in Walpole at 6:30p.m.
Burial will be private.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00-6:30 p.m.
