Larry Joe Kauffman, 58, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Monday, March 5 in Fitzgerald.

Mr. Kauffman was born February 3, 1949, in Hastings, Michigan to the late William Burton and Betty Jean Hinkley Kauffman. He moved to Fitzgerald in November of last year from Sturgis, Michigan. Mr. Kauffman was an operator/sorter for Fitzgerald Recycling.
He is survived by his wife, Susan D. Kauffman of Fitzgerald; brother, William Burton Kauffman, Jr., of Port Charlotte, FL; nephew, Ted (Debbie) Hudson; great nephews, Ted Hudson, II, and James Hudson, both of Sturgis, MI; great niece, Rebecca (Andy) Strang of Sturgis, MI; 2 great great nephews and 1 great great niece; sister-in-law, Betty (Stan) Krontz of Thompson, IL and special friend, Pierre.
