Obituary

WORCESTER__Phyllis K. (Kazlauskas) Yurewicz, 85, formerly of 21 Dillon Street, died, Sunday, March 4 in University Commons. Her husband of 55 years, Joseph J. Yurewicz died in 2002.

She leaves her daughter, Carol Bloom of Worcester; a son, Paul J. Yurewicz of South Haven, Michigan; a sister, Agnes LaChapelle of Mountain View, California; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, one of fourteen children of George and Agatha (Grabauskas) Kazlauskas and lived in Worcester all her life.

Mrs. Yurewicz was a homemaker and a graduate of Worcester Girls Trade High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Casimir Church, and was also a former member and President of the Lithuanian War Veterans Organization, Women’s Auxiliary. Phyllis’ love and interests centered around her family and grandchildren.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 8, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, March 8 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street, Worcester, MA, 01604.
