OBIT Anatole Mailhot
Manchester-Anatole Mailhot, 86, died March 1, 2007 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack following a period declining health.
He was born in Dixville, P.Q., Canada on May 8, 1920 the son of Samuel and Lousiana (Laberge) Mailhot and had been a resident of this city for many years. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator in Canada, In Manchester he was a welder for Ingersoll Rand for 15 years, and prior to his retirement he was a School Bus Driver.
He enjoyed playing cards, music, dancing and gardening.
He held membership in the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Order, and the East Side Club. Members of his family includes his wife of 65 years Cecile (Godbout) Mailhot, three sons, Daniel Mailhot of Manchester, Bruno Mailhot of Goffstown and Real Mailhot of Manchester, nine daughters, Yolande Ganley of Hooksett, Diane Gendron of Manchester, Claire Gelinas of Fla., Micheline Doring of Fla.,Gaetane Leclerc of Amherst, Louise Goudreau of Manchester, Carole Koerner of So. Carolina, France Dolbec of Bow and Helen Daigle of Bedford. 24 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild.
One brother, Ulysse Mailhot of Manchester and one sister Elianne Tremblay of Canada, Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a son Michael Mailhot and a daughter Lucy Mailhot.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 9 pm at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30 am in St. Pius X Church. Entombment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
