Dorothy R. “Dottie” (Green) Jablonsky, 58, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 1 after surviving 22 years with cancer. She was the wife of Robert J. Jablonsky. Born in Roslindale, she was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1966, as well as Boston Business School and Mt. Ida College. After growing up in Roslindale, she resided in Millis for 19 years before moving to Pocasset 4 years ago. Mrs. Jablonsky was a secretary with GTE in Needham for 27 years before retiring 15 years ago. She was a member of the Bourne Women’s Club and the Falmouth Art Assn. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, painting, gardening, traveling and trips to casinos.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jablonsky is survived by her brothers, Albert A. Green, Jr. of Easton and Kenneth F. Green of W. Roxbury. She was the aunt of Danielle Peterson, Kimberly Peterson, Eric Peterson, Katherine B. Green and Anthony Green. She was the daughter of the late Albert A. Green and Rose A. (Bernazzani) Green.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, March 5 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
